Juniper Research zeichnet G+D, Bundesdruckerei und Partner mit Gold Award für quantensicheren Ausweis aus
Giesecke+Devrient (G+D) und die Bundesdruckerei GmbH haben gemeinsam mit dem Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik (BSI) und der Infineon Technologies AG den Juniper Research Identity & Security Award 2026 in der Kategorie „Post Quantum Cryptography Excellence – Gold Winner“ erhalten. Ausgezeichnet wurde der „Demonstrator for a quantum-safe identity card“ – eine der weltweit ersten funktionalen Umsetzungen eines nationalen Personalausweises, der klassische Kryptografie mit Post-Quantum-Kryptografie verbindet.

Giesecke+Devrient (G+D) and Bundesdruckerei GmbH, together with the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and Infineon Technologies AG, have received the Juniper Research Identity & Security Award 2026 in the “Post Quantum Cryptography Excellence – Gold Winner” category. The award recognizes the “Demonstrator for a quantum-safe identity card” - one of the world’s first functional implementations of a national identity card combining conventional cryptography with post-quantum cryptography.

CIRES Starts: G+D Strengthens Europe’s Critical Infrastructure for the Quantum Age
Giesecke+Devrient (G+D) is participating as a technology partner in CIRES, a European research and innovation project launched under the European Union’s Horizon Europe Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU). Over the next 36 months, 17 partners from five European countries will work together to strengthen the resilience and technological sovereignty of Europe’s critical infrastructure, with a particular focus on energy and digital infrastructure.
