Interessierte erhalten durch das neue Angebot einen Online-Zugriff auf die gleichen Inhalte, die traditionelle Vor-Ort-Schulungen von Red Hat vermitteln. Die Schulungsmaterialien sind dabei für das Selbststudium optimiert. Jede Trainingseinheit beinhaltet auch Tests zur Überprüfung des Gelernten. Im Rahmen des Angebotes werden Teilnehmern in Webinaren und Videos alle erforderlichen Kenntnisse vermittelt, um sich als Red Hat Certified System Administrator und Red Hat Certified Engineer (EX200 und EX300) qualifizieren zu können.

„Unser neues Online-Trainingsangebot bietet Interessierten eine hohe Flexibilität, da sie Kursteilnahmen in Abhängigkeit von ihren eigenen Terminen planen können. Außerdem können sie an den Schulungen von jedem Ort aus teilnehmen, an dem sie Internetzugang haben“, sagt Jens Ziemann, Director Red Hat Training EMEA. „ROLE bietet dabei die gleichen qualitativ hochwertigen Inhalte wie die von unseren Trainern geleiteten traditionellen Schulungen, und das zu nur ungefähr 85 Prozent der üblichen Schulungskosten.“

Das ROLE-Angebot beinhaltet eine 90-tägige Subskription mit Zugangsmöglichkeit zu den drei Komponenten des Red Hat Online Learning: Kursinhalte, Webinare und Übungen. Während der Subskriptionsphase können die praktischen Übungen insgesamt 80 Stunden genutzt werden. Mit Ausnahme der Online-Learning-Übungen, für deren Nutzung eine Verbindung über einen Desktop-PC oder ein Notebook erforderlich ist, kann auf Webinare und Kursmaterialien auch von einem mobilen Gerät aus zugegriffen werden.

Innerhalb des ROLE-Angebotes sind folgende Kurse verfügbar:

* Red Hat System Administration I (RH124R)
* Red Hat System Administration II (RH134R)
* Red Hat System Administration III (RH254R)

Das Red Hat Online Learning (ROLE) wird in den europäischen Ländern Deutschland, Belgien, Dänemark, Finnland, Frankreich, Großbritannien, Italien, Irland, Luxemburg, Niederlande, Norwegen, Österreich, Portugal, Schweden, Schweiz und Spanien angeboten.
