“Education is the gateway to freedom, democracy and development.“ Sawabona Africa e. V. is committed to the vision of former South African President Nelson Mandela. The non-profit organisation’s mission is to enable as many disadvantaged children and young people as possible in South Africa and Lesotho to receive a quality education. On the basis of a due diligence process, Sawabona Africa identifies, screens and approves certified and locally based charities, collects donations and arranges sponsorships. Supported charities include Bright Start, PYMA, Help Lesotho, Impande and Uthando (Love) South Africa. Sawabona Africa acts independently and transparently – donations raised go directly to the organisations and their projects.
