PR-COM expands its editorial team with an experienced trio

Munich, July 12, 2022 – The Munich-based communications agency PR-COM expands its internal specialist editorial team with the journalists Claudia Ballhause, Jan Bernecke and Dominik Mohilo.

The agency PR-COM continues to grow and strengthens its own editorial team with Claudia Ballhause, Jan Bernecke and Dominik Mohilo. Claudia Ballhause is a trained journalist. She went through the classic first stage as a trainee at a daily newspaper (Vogtland-Anzeiger Plauen), studied PR in Munich, then worked in an agency as a consultant and also completed a degree in comparative literature. She currently lives and works in Argentina, but will be moving back to Germany. The focus of her journalistic work is on the topics of digitization and transformation, as well as their support through infrastructure and application software. “I am fascinated by innovations such as smart cities, smart factories and e-mobility, which will shape our lives in the future,” says Claudia Ballhause, describing her preferences.

Jan Bernecke, who studied literature, political science and sociology, gained his first professional experience as a marketing manager in the SaaS sector before moving into publishing as an editor. There, he focused on the topics of software, programming and DevOps, including as managing editor of PHP Magazine. “I love to have my finger on the pulse of current developments and to write about new technologies and their implications,” Jan Bernecke outlines his main interests. “Topics such as sustainability, green coding and new ways of working are particularly important to me.”

Dominik Mohilo’s professional journey began at the FAZ after studying German and sociology. With this basic journalistic training under his belt, he switched to a traineeship at the publishing house Software und Support Media. As senior editor, he was later responsible for the Java Magazine and the JAXenter portal, and supported other publishing properties such as the Entwickler Magazin. He was also responsible for the content of the conference program. “The IT industry is extremely exciting, as practically nothing works without computers and smartphones anymore,” says Dominik Mohilo. “I see the noblest task of an IT editor as making complex issues transparent in catchy stories.”

Managing Director Alain Blaes, who founded PR-COM more than 30 years ago as a journalist, adds: “For me, the excellently positioned editorial team of our PR agency is an important quality feature. At present it is not easy to be able to engage good and experienced editors. All the more we are pleased about the reinforcement by equal three so proven experts such as Claudia Ballhause, Jan Bernecke and Dominik Mohilo. They are all a real enrichment for us and our customers, whom they help with their expertise to achieve their communication goals.”
